2018 marks Narrow River Kayaks’ 27th consecutive season at its waterfront location on Narrow River at Middlebridge.  Narrow River Kayaks was established in 1992 by the late Robert Ryder as a seasonal kayak and canoe rental business.  More than twenty-five years later, Mr. Ryder’s vision is still intact and still locally owned and operated.  Narrow River Kayaks is an outfitter, livery and guide member of the American Cano Association (ACA), and we are equipped to provide you or your group with everything you need to enjoy and experience Narrow River by kayak, canoe or stand-up paddle board.

While many are familiar with us for our kayak, canoe and stand up paddle board rentals, we have so much more to offer.  In addition to rentals from our waterfront location, we also offer Multiday Rentals with Delivery and Pick-up. Our reknowned Group Outings and Guided Tours are something to be experienced. Kids from 8 - 80 have gotten started paddling by taking one of our Kayak or SUP lessons and learned to see the river from a new perspective. And of course, if you are looking for a boat or board of your own, watch for our Seasonal Sales.

At Narrow River Kayaks, we pride ourselves on excellent customer service.  Our aim is to provide our customers with a top-notch product and a safe and enjoyable experience on Narrow River.  We use only equipment of the highest quality from the leading manufacturers in the industry.  At Narrow River Kayaks, we understand our role as ambassadors to the sport of paddling.  We not only seek to foster a love of paddle sport, but also appreciation and stewardship of our natural surroundings, especially the Pettaquamscutt (Narrow) River Watershed.  Whether you are looking to spend a couple of hours or a full day on the river, our courteous, helpful and knowledgeable staff is here to assist.

Check out the Good Times!

Awesome experience!
We had a group of 7, and the employees quickly got our group in the kayaks. These are seriously some of the nicest folks I've ever encountered. The kids who worked there were friendly and enthusiastic about helping - from adjusting our life vests, to giving instructions, to getting us our paddles, to getting us in and out of the water, to bagging up our towels - I could go on, but I think you get the idea. They need to bottle up and sell their customer service.
The boats and other equipment was clean and in good condition. We had a great workout to a beach that separates the river from the ocean. The beach was nice, and we enjoyed the trip. It was just a lot of fun and well worth whatever we paid.

Great Harvest Moon Kayak tour!!
Had a great night last night with Ron from Narrow River Kayaks!! Ron gave us a great tour of narrow river all the way to Narragansett beach! We paddled, walked on the beach and watched the sunset and the full moon rise! This tour is a must do if you are in Narragansett during a full moon! Ron was awesome and emailed us pictures the next day so we didn't need to take our phones out on the water. Be sure to bring a snack and bottle of wine for this tour!! Lots of fun and beautiful scenery!! Thanks Ron!

Absolutely amazing experience!
Helpful staff, nice equipment, great location. Very highly recommend an excursion with this locally owned company.  I can't say enough about the wonderful people that work there.  They made our experience special and memorable!
Out of five stars, I'd give them eight!

What a wonderful local business!
Our tour guide, Ron, took us on a 2 hour Ecotour for 'Gansett days. We saw Osprey, a Bald Headed Eagle, Egrets and Blue herons. The eagle was a beautiful sight! I took out an SUP and my uncle was in a kayak. These guys are so friendly and customer-service driven. I purchased a used SUP paddle, in great condition, at about 1/3 of the price for a new one.
